I received a phone call today notifying me that I won a sweep I entered via Facebook. I won by becoming a Fan of Hair Cuttery and filling out a brief form. The prize is two concert tickets for "Hey Monday" at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Meet and Greet with the band, Two nights accommodations, and airfare.
The person who called me told me that I had been chosen after another person was not able to attend the concert. I'm very excited, even though I don't really know the band, but it feels great to win! I even got to pick my hotel - there were two options: a new, swanky hotel near the beach, and a less upscale hotel on the beach .... I live near the water in FL already so I went for the swankier one!
I know there was a topic about Facebook/Twitter sweeps and most said they wouldn't bother .... might think twice about it!
