Facebook Sweepstakes Page Errors

Sweepstakes Plus Subscriber
When on the Facebook Sweepstakes pages, I am often getting time our or error messages when trying to open a sweepstakes link or to save entries to my sweepstakes. I don't have problems on any of the other category pages.
I use the Mozilla Firefox browser at home and Internet Explorer browser at work, both browsers are up to date and I have problems using the facebook category with both browsers.
Is anyone else having this problem or has had this problem and knows a fix?

To reiterate - this only happens {timing out} on SA, and only on SA's FB category pages, correct?

Has this always been like this, or is it new?

If new, did you recently update IE/FF and/or add a new program?

I think so too - but what kind, I don't know. However, if it's isolated to *just* SA's FB pages {not on other sites too}, maybe Ken can answer?

It cant be isolated to *just* SA's FB pages, or 4500 daily users would have me swamped in reports. But she can ask Ken and we can see what he has to say for sure. Also check that your system time has the correct time, date & time zone. Your browsers will completely ignore any security certificates if the system time doesn't match. If that is correct try using openDNS to access the site. If you use a smaller local ISP it's probable they don't flush their cache as often so you may want to call them and ask them to clear it. You can also change your dns settings for free by using faster DNS with opendns.

This is happening only the last few weeks. I access the sweeps advantage site both at home and at work (I own my own business, am not goofing off at work, though if I was, sweeping is a legitimate goof-off...lol). I access on two different computers, one a couple years newer than the other. Both computers have Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer installed on them (recently updated) and I get errors on both computers, both browsers on each computer. I do not have the same internet provider for each computer, one is Optimum, one is CenturyLink. The only category listing I have difficulty with is the Facebook category. This is the error message: Unavailable. Site temporarily unavailable. Connection timed out - please try again.
I clear my cache and browser history upon exit.
 
Timing

Just noticed the one reply referencing time, yes, the time/date stamp is correct on both computers.
 
scully32 - are you PLUS? If not, then:

REMINDER:

ALL SA/SP'ers can see FB/TWITTER listings, but only SP'ers {PLUS} can save FB/TWITTER listings to the appropriate category { FB/TWITTER} or to their *own* users custom category.

If you are PLUS, your primary display group may not be set.
 
I am sweepstakes plus member....can *sometimes* access the facebook sweeps, most times not
