Facebook Sweeps Question: Dumb but I'm asking anyway!

When you enter some Facebook sweepstakes and submit the form, you'll see a pop-up
titled "Post to Your Wall", with option to Share or Cancel. Does anyone know for sure if at this point that your sweepstakes entry has already been recorded? I'm asking because sometimes I click the Cancel button and sometimes I don't, so I've had enough of wondering – lol!

This also applies to other Facebook sweepstakes that show a pop-up that thanks you for entering, with an OK button.

TIA

I check the rules to see if sharing gets me an entry - usually it's an extra entry - then I make sure I DO share.

Sometimes there will be some verbiage that will indicate it {extra entry} - I haven't seen any where sharing is rq'd to complete your entry i don't think?

Thank you, Amy, I also check to make sure if I need to share or not, but what I'm really asking is this: in a Facebook sweepstakes in which you don't need to share, is it necessary to interact with the pop-up form at all, meaning once it pops-up I can just move on without clicking either Share or Cancel?

It usually locks up if I try to close it without choosing one: Share or Cancel

I rarely share unless it is required, if sharing gets another entry or if sharing to get others to click my link for extra entries. I'm sure my non-sweeping friends appreciate not seeing them all!

I usually click cancel, but occasionally I shutdown the tab without clicking anything and I'm pretty sure that hasn't had any detriment to my fb sweeps.
