Lately I've been entering lots of Facebook contests-the type where you have to answer a trivia question or just say something in the comment section and then they randomly pick winners. Do the companies usually respond to the winning comments so that it shows up as a notification or private message on the winners page? Or do I have to keep track of everything I comment on and go back later to see who won. Cause that would be a pain, but I don't want to miss winnings.

Good question. I don't know the answer - but I think there is more than one answer. It probably depends on the individual Facebook page, and if they have rules which tell you how they will notify the winner. You could bookmark them - I know it would be extra work since you wrote that you have been entering lots - but especially if they are important to you - you could put the expiration date in the bookmark title and return to the site on the expiration date and the next few days until you see a winner posted.
I'm sure there are other ways to find out. You could also ask in the FB comments how the winner will be notified (but they you have to go back to see the reply!).
katierw80 - while on their page on FB, click on FOLLOW & then every time they post in response to your post/comment, you will get a notice on your FB page in the upper right - the world icon.
Downside? They will flood your FB whenever they post anything!
