Facebook contests - banned for liking/following for 30 days?

I know I have been entering a ton of Facebook contests lately, usually the ones where I do not need to post a comment. Yesterday I received a notification from Facebook, that I am banned/suspended from liking or following any new pages for 30 days. (If I try, it just unlikes it) I checked the support section, there is a limit of 5000 likes/following per account. I am only at 3200 (now that I know, I will look into cleaning it up) But I didnt appear to hit the limit...

Anyone else ever run into this issue? Just bummed, if they dont respond to my email as to why, that I will not be able contests for companies I dont already like.
 
Facebook has a new policy - you do not need to "like" a sweep in order to enter. At the top, look carefully for a "skip", click on it and you can enter without liking the page.
 
don't feel bad. I received the same message and am blocked for a month as well. I have appealed but so far there is no response from Facebook. I have 7,000+ likes and cannot imagine trying to unlike that many pages. I am posting on the timelines of the contest pages I am unable to like that I am unable to like their page. I feel the sponsor deserves to know.
 
I also got that message on the 17th. Makes it kinda bad, since so many ask to like in order to enter a sweep. I never have come anywhere near the limit of likes?? Oh well, guess just have to wait it out. But sure with others also getting this message, lots of the f/b contests not getting as many entries.
 
Since the change to "likes'' Platform Policy on Facebook, unless I *want* to, I don't bother to LIKE FB pages to enter promos - I just click SKIP/Continue
