Entering for holiday gifts

I wasn't sure if this would be perfectly acceptable or frowned upon. I know most enter for their own household and didn't want to seem greedy on things. I've gifted a prize that I wouldn't use myself before, but figure actively seeking them might be a bit selfish. So I figured I'd weigh in with the community. What are your thoughts?

kjarman84 - imo wins are like presents/gifts - once they are yours, they are yours to do with whatever you want - w/the exception rules boilerplate that states no re-gifting trip wins

It's your prize, so once you win it...do whatever you want with it! I have entered for prizes that I thought my parents would love, so I could give it to them.
