I just started this year as well, and my wins were mostly small like yours for a while. After 3 months I did win a $500 giftcard (supposedly) but I have yet to receive it, 5 months after I "won". I received some local concert tickets and tickets to a football game, and a few $100-$200 giftcards. Thats a lot for me, but I havent yet been a grand prize winner (nothing over the $600 IRS threshold). I also write down all my wins and the ARV so I can see that all the small wins add up, keeps me motivated! In my 8 months of sweeping, I've won *something* every month and I'm almost to $3,000 ARV total. On the subject of dry spells etc... How many of you have had big or substantial wins and how long was it after you became a dedicated sweeper? I've been entering since August and so far I have won a Rookie T-shirt from Pepsi on Twitter, a local contest for a Spa treatment (through this site) and a $5 dollar Venmo payment in the Miller Lite instant win game. I'm writing every win down to stay encouraged and hoping that first big win is in the near future for me and that all who are experiencing a dry spell will see an end to that soon.
I just started back entering sweepstakes sometime in August this year I believe after not entering for probably 10 years. But, back then it seemed like it took about 3 months before I won something that I had to fill out a notarized form for. That first win was for airline miles. It was one that my husband really didn't want me to take because he didn't think we would use it, but I did and we did use them. I also have won $1,000 (that was a write in off a bottle or carton of orange juice) scholarship for my daughter and after talking my husband into entering a few sweepstakes he won $1,000. (That turkey! He only would enter no more than probably 15 a day either an he won an instant win games.) I also won an X box prize complete with a lot of accessories and a huge amount of games. Then a friend of mine won a big prize that you added someone else on as a friend to get the 2nd half of the prize and she added me. So we both received $5000 in gift cards from a store. I also won a trip to see a game in New Orleans. (I didn't enter for the trip but for grocery gift cards, but won the trip and decided to take it. I don't usually enter trip sweepstakes unless they have a secondary or third place prize that I am interested in.) I haven't won anything really big yet. No vehicles or cash over $1000, but I have won some really nice smaller prizes. I've never expected to get rich and I would guess back when I was entering sweeps before I would average about $250 in prizes a month in wins. Now some months that would be less and some months I would win more. I'm saying on average. It sometimes takes a while when you start because some sweepstakes don't end for a few months and even those that might have ended may take a while for them to notify and distribute the prizes. On the subject of dry spells etc... Been sweeping over 40+ years-taught by my mom. I would say that as soon as we both got our 1st wins there was no stopping us-we were hooked! On the subject of dry spells etc...
