Does it hurt your chances of winning if you don't click to sign up for their spam, offers & newsletters?

When you fill these out, there's always a button if you want to sign up for them to send you spam. I always wonder if it hurts your chances of winning if you don't select for it.

Of course, they would like to add your name, email address, etc., to their database and increase their number of subscribers… HOWEVER, it is not necessary “IF” it is optional and no it does not hurt your chances.

Personally, I didn’t enter sweeps that “required” you to get the newsletter or join some other list and I had a pretty good record of winning BIG prizes ($10k & $4k trips, $5k of electronics, and a bunch of smaller items) in the past, when I was entering sweeps on a daily basis before Covid hit.

I am just getting back “into the game” because I miss those FedEx envelopes and other surprises that came in the mail.
