I dont like the idea of clicking on a link because it doesnt have any info. i ran the address and it is showing that jb is john brewer an attorney and has a site http://www.chambersandpartners.com/usa/person/194779/john-n-brewer

ive not received a winning email yet so have nothing for comparison but to me seems fake?

he is showing active with the bar and no suspensions etc? so what ya think?

What do you mean by the post above? I don't understand, but I copied and pasted the text of the "winning" message in a Google search, and there was one result saying it is fake.

Next, I did a Google search for "[email protected]" and many entries came up, saying it is fake, a scam, a sender of unsolicited emails, etc. I found a message very similar to the one you received. Try searching and see what you find.

If you are not sure about a so-called winning message, do not click on anything - you were right not to click on the link! In the future, you don't even need to open the message to see it. Try right clicking on the sender and go to "view message source." That allows you to see the sender, content and info without opening it.

Always ask yourself who is the sender, and what is the sweeps. Did you enter such a sweeps? Don't be tricked by the urgency to reply or take action in such a hurry. It is often a ploy. (Yes, some sweeps do require you to respond within a given time frame, but remember, first, identify if it is a real sweeps. Then you can look it up, read the rules, and be sure it is real, and check to see if you actually entered, before you reply.)

You did the right thing to ask, and to not click on the link.

Google search and you will see that it is fake.
