Do you pick and choose or enter most any contests?

If you enter 200 to 300 entries a day, do you enter everything new or are you selective? I find that it takes me a lot of time reading through the prizes that are offered and select the ones that I think there is more of a chance of winning and choosing the prizes I am interested in. I was wondering if it would take less time to just enter everything that is offered (using robo form, of course) and toss it all into the air!
 
I pick and choose. I dont enter for trips usually unless they say in the rules cash option. I dont enter for girly things either. I only enter for things I want or need or things my kids would like.
 
I pick and choose. I use to enter for everything, but my time has been limited this year, so I'm much more selective. I don't even bother entering for any blog contest, DVD's, or CD's, especially if they are a daily entry. Way to much time for a small payback.
 
I enter about 200 contests a day, give or take, and I "pick and choose." Travel (to just about anywhere, except Mexico), as long as it has airline tickets and more than 1 day in a hotel; TVs, computers, Wii, Xbox, gas gift cards, gift cards for anything that I can use, cars, dinners for two, cameras, kitchen things, washers and dryers, refrigerators, etc.

But, then, I am disabled (had a stroke four years ago), and I have a lot of time on my hands. :laughing:

And, I win - not a lot, nor often, but I won a trip to Paris, France last year, so anything else is gravy!!! :cheers:

I pick and choose too. I go thru my instants, then depending on my time available, I go thru expiring one entries. Check the clock, new one time entries. Time Check, search for whatever I am needing at the time (a vacaction, a GC from Lowes or Home Depot (actually need that all the time!), gardening, home goods. . . .Usually don't make it thru the list but on a day off or not too muh to do day, I can get thru alot. I rarely enter for DVD's or CD's. I hate blog entries or post comment entries. And that is my contest entry routine! :crazytongue:
 
I personally enter only for things I am interested in...something I need or would like to have. In a way, I feel that entering all sweeps just because you can...is selfish. Why enter if you don't need/want the prize(s)?
 
tharedhead - You're funny! I'm with you! I have won quite a few prizes I did not want or need and always found someone (friends, relatives, donation to a thrift shop)
who was happy to get them.
 
I only enter what I am interested in so it's pickin and a choosin for me. I don't enter for trips and if I have won something then I don't enter it again.
 
hI rOZZIE.... gREAT qESTION....... i enter only about 75 sweeps a day. I'm very selective ... i dont' waste time on things i don't really want or need... i also look for things my daughter would like and enter those too.... lately i've been soooo busy, i don't have the time to enter a ton like i used to..... hopefully me going to the sweepstakes convention will lite my fire again...... we'll see

I pick and choose also. I usually don't enter too many for trips---unless it is Vegas or Disney. I don't enter for Ipods, Nanos, cellphones, music downloads or Zunes. I do not know what any of these are really.I may change my mind at a later date. I also do not enter for guitars (why are there so many for these?) or designer handbags or baby(or children) things. Most of the things I enter for are smaller items except of course cash! That is one reason I am surprised I do not win more.
 
Pick and choose.

1. Can I or mom or the mission use the prize. I would die if I ate KFC chicken but I won $500 KFC chicken checks. Missionary family from Africa, church members, mom all got the chicken or checks. What was left over was used to serve a holiday meal for the homeless on skid row.

2. Can I easily sell or give the item away. I mean like an ipod or skateboard not some CD form an unknown group.

3. How hard is it to enter? No snail mail for me. If I find a code on a bottle of salad dressing fine. I avoid anything annoying or hard.

4. Would the win be possible. Winning a trip to NYC is great but not when you have to pay taxes and they do not include air fare. I would not have fun a sci fi convention or a gay cruise. I do not golf or scuba dive so those trips are out. Remember that winning a $20000 necklace means taxes to pay and havng to sell the necklace.

5. I am not going to go against the rules and laws so I skip anything with tobacco or booze. I skip prizes I do not need like baby toys, why not let some mom have that prize. I am not getting married so why take a prize from someone who is getting married. There is a gay couple who would love so much to have a gay cruise so why not let them have the fun. There is out there a person who has cats who would love those cat toys and treats. If you wont enjoy or use something then pass on it and let someone else enjoy that prize.

I have so much time and health. I have only so any chances to win and given the choice of a cruise or $500 in chicken that feeds people then I am going for the chicken.

:laughing: That would mean actually going through them. That stupid energizer game is taking me away from the sweeps. I havent done my dailies today, or the new. Im just playing the game. :nono: I did manage to get up to #6 in the high scores but im sure someone will knock me down soon.

I haven't entered in 3 days, but not just because of that game - I thank you for the tips btw!!!

I went out and when I was down to $8 and figured I was done, I slowly started hitting and got back up to over $200 - then I hit for $1125!!! YAY!!! I played a bit more, made $300 more, then came home and suprised Bob with the money and my "war" story - we gamble and tell each other about how we did :laughing:

Anyway, I'd stayed out to late, am fighting a sinus/chest infection {walking pnuemonia maybe} so i crashed for MANY ours and woke with a raging migraine so my day was spent answering questions and adding new sweeps to my bookmarks, {while trying to get that migraine to abate} but not actually entering them - hopefully I'll be able to try after I sleep again :laughing:
