Did I hurt my chances by including the word "sweeps" at the beginning of my email address?

Hi! I have a quick question and I was wondering if someone could help me out?

When I created my email address for entering I used the word "sweeps" at the beginning followed by my name and then @gmail.com (look like: [email protected]).

I was wondering if this is hurting my chances because I found a blog last night that said, "One thing I avoided doing was putting anything with “win” or “sweepstakes” or “contest” in my new e-mail address. For some reason, there are a few companies who don’t like the “hobbyists.” That is the company’s loss, though, because we are consumers as well. I have become a regular purchaser of some brands which I discovered by winning some of their products."

I've entered a lot, (and I know with IP addresses you cannot reenter under a new email for many of them) so I'm worried that it'll have been for nothing/will continue to hurt me in the future.

Do any of you have experience with this one way or another?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help!

I don't think the email address will matter. It's more important that you follow the rules. All the sponsors are changing their rules to filter out people who cheat by entering with multiple email addresses or entering for multiple individuals from one computer. I'm glad the sponsors are doing this because it makes the hobby more fair for everyone rather than the few who bend the rules.
