Custom categories in SP? What am I missing/doing wrong?

Hi - I cannot seem to figure out how I can change the category of some of my sweeps. For instance, I just realized a LOT of my sweeps are in the "Facebook" category and I want to put the daily ones into the "daily" category so I make sure I hit them every day. When I click on the "custom category" menu all I get is the "Facebook" option. Aren't I suppose to be able to change that as a perk of the SP membership? I must be missing something. Any help you can toss in my direction on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

mcubed - PLUS members can create categories, regular members cannot - that's the tool that makes PLUS worth the $30 a year!

Are you logged into Sweepstakes Plus - Largest Premium Online Sweepstakes and Contest Directory ? I do see you are a plus member..and have been for awhile..did this start recent? or was it ok since August?

Yes, I am Plus. I have never tried to do it before as I never have had an issue with the way the categories are set up. I use both SA and SP because when I sweep at work on my breaks they have SP blocked so I have to use SA. Soooooo, I use both a lot (switch back and forth).

How do I change the categories? Thank you!

OK, thanks Amy for the links. I just saw them. I guess I need to be more clear what I am trying to do. I am trying to move sweepstakes that are falling into the "Facebook" category and move them to the "daily" category.

Ah, that's the problem - only PLUS members can save FB sweeps:

:wave: now that the new categories are up and running they need to be put in the list of 'my sweeps' so we can see what we entered. :nono:

Sorry, But that upgrade will only be seen in Sweepstakes Plus. The additonal Twitter and Facebook my sweepstakes default categories and the ability to create custom versions of those example: Twitter/Daily, Facebook/Daily, etc. You can upgrade your account to Sweepstakes Plus here:

Select Sweepstakes Plus from the drop down menu and then click the Order button.

Facebook & Twitter sweeps are for Sweepstakes Plus members only and you can use the standard categories:

Twitter Sweepstakes
Facebook Sweepstakes

OR, for PLUS members ONLY, you can create your own categories, which is great for Facebook & Twitter, other than daily entry IW sweeps, and anything else you can imagine!

mcubed - since you can only use SA at work, I'd wait until logged into PLUS to add/mark off the FB & Twitter sweeps.

Same with Expiring and Expired Sweepstakes:

Expiring and Expired Sweepstakes Sections are now only available to Plus members.

This change was 100% necessary to keep the sweepstakes on SA Free. We've rolled out new features and options for free since 1997 and this is no longer feasible
especially in this economy. It takes many people and costly technologies to keep the site running an updated. All the sweepstakes are still accessible on the other sections of the site.
The expiring sweepstakes section is being reserved for the Plus members who are directly supporting the site. Sorry for the inconvenience but we have to ensure the site will
be around for everyone in the future.

AFaik - ALL SA/SP'ers can see FB/TWITTER listings, but only SP'ers can save FB/TWITTER listings to their category { FB/TWITTER} or to the users custom category.
