Cracker Barrel Who Wears the Crown Glitching?

It's been twice now that when I played my first instant win per day that I've gotten 3 matching icons (this morning I got 3 yo-yos diagonally). But after I click on the last (and fifth) checker in the set, the page says "better luck next time."

Anyone else having issues with this instant win? I'm pretty sure according to the rules those should have been a win... but then again I could be wrong.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

 You are correct that it is a match 3 to win. In the rules it states:
After the game has been played to a state of completion, you will be presented with a instant win game screen. You will then be prompted to uncover three checkers. If the three checkers match you are an instant winner, subject to verification. The screen will reveal if you have won a prize, and what that prize is. Any unused instant win game plays at the end of the Promotion Period are forfeit, have no value and cannot be played. Potential winners of the Instant Win Game will be provided directions for validation. All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Administrator is responsible for the functionality of the Instant Win Game.

Perhaps you can post on their FB page to get the answer you are looking for.

I also matched three one time and then it told me better luck next time. I thought maybe I had misunderstood the actual rules of the game. I got three of the peg games.

Me too. I got three matches and it said "better luck next time". Maybe something will show up on our doorstep when the game is over.

Since the rules say:

"random, computer-generated winning times, one for each prize listed below, will be generated during the Promotion Period. If you are the first player to play the Instant Win Game at or after one of the randomly generated times, you will be a potential instant winner of the prize indicated."

Unless/until you get a winning email, the actual game is just window dressing. Most IW's are designed this way to CYA :crazytongue:

In the past, lwaxana noted:

"It is annoying when these "wheel" games click over to a non-winning slot at the last moment, but it helps to remember that there really isn't any spinning wheel (it's a computer animation), and your winning or non-winning condition has already been predetermined at the time when you logged in. You don't win or lose because the wheel says so: the wheel says so because you've already won or lost. Instead of simulating a spinning wheel, the site could just display "yes" or "no" as soon as you log in, but apparently people like the razzle-dazzle."
