WOW...and why??? I mean all of the duplicates in that picture. If they were all different...I wonder if they are empty?

Wow, that is impressive. In CA aluminum cans sell for over $1.25 lb or more. I have a few bags of cans but, saving them until scrap goes back up.

I might take them in and use the funds towards a weekend trip to Arkansas next month depending on how many I have at the time. It would pay for some snacks for the kids at least.

Thanks :) I live in Mississippi. We are going to Jonesboro to my inlaws possibly for the weekend hopefully next month sometime. Then, we are all going to ride over to Paragold (sp) to watch the races.

I would really love to take a trip sometime to the diamond mines, I think that would be a lot of fun. My husband has taken a few loads for work to Tex-Arkana and he mentioned it is close to that area and quite a drive. There are so many places I would love to visit in the south.
 
:wave: Arkansas diamonds are located near Murfreesboro. There are no mines, like in South Africa. The diamonds found here are located in a big field. Tractors regularly plow up the field, turning over the soil. Then, people walk out into an area of field, set up a claim, and begin to dig for diamonds in all that upturned dirt. You should go when you get the chance.

That does sound fun, hopefully we can go sometime. What part of the year do you suggest? I know the humidity here in the south is brutal during the summer months.

What part of Arkansas are you in? Northern, Southern ?

Hey sticks ~ I am trying to talk Jimmie into heading that way if we don't get laid off, do you know how much this costs? My kids (and me...) love stuff like this and I saw this on the travel channel and would love to try it. Do you know of a link or anything?

Miki, Arkansas is beautiful. I went when I was around 10 or 11 and have been trying to get back ever since. It is truly one of the most beautiful states that there is. I would love to take my kids and go explore again! Not really interested in Branson, but I want to go back to the Ozarks Mountains!
 
I agree, Arkansas is beautiful. My husband told me he would like to take us to the mountains since I love mountain settings. I remember when Sticks was going to sponsor a members contest and he was hurt by some of the comments. I was thrilled to enter for the chance but, others ruined it.
