Actor Christian Bale was arrested in Britain before the premiere of lastest Batman movie on assault charges filed by his Mother and his Sister. So far police has declined to release any details, and his manager will not make any comments ~ so what do you guys think? Is it possible? Or are Mom and Sis possible jealous of all the money and attention?

I have no idea and I don't want to accuse ANYONE that could have possibly been accused of anything wrong, but I just find the timing of this really, really odd!

I find the timing very odd. I think there is a lot more to this story. Up until the movie batman begins you couldn't really call Bale a Star. I did of course :laughing: but a lot of people didn't know who he was, He wasnt recognizable say like,Brad Pitt. This movie is huge and I think its possible that people are trying to rid his coattails.
 
From what I understand you can be arrested in London for verbal assault just as easily as physical. If the person feels threatened enough they can press charges. I'm thinking this may be the case. I'm sure all the details will be told soon. I don't see the media letting this one go anytime soon.
 
Damn. This is unfortunate.

I'm not going to speculate. I don't know what led up to the events, what kind of person/mother his mother is, what sort of person his sister is, or what sort of person Christian is for that matter. I do think after seeing an interview that he is extremely dedicated to his career(not to mention easy to look at). He ate maggots IRL for "Rescue Dawn" FFS! :laughing:

Weighing in from the medical angle-both Bale and Ledger came down with severe viral pneumonia during the filming of Batman. Both started having issues with insomnia after coming down with this viral illness-prehaps both are suffering from a form of post-viral syndrome (a milder form of Guillain-Barre disease). Working in England is a great way to pick up odd and obscure viruses, because of immigration, proximity to the former USSR (where many diseases flourish unchecked because of their lack of health care system). And picking up a nasty virus while doing something incredibly physically and psychologically challenging such as a movie like Batman, is a great way to make sure you are ripe for all the complications.
If you google post viral syndrome you will see that it tends to be dumped in the same wastebasket as fibro. But there are many scientific studies that show this to be a very real illness.
Of course there is also the issue of "survivor's guilt" which is strictly a psych problem....here the man is being faced with his dead friend's image every day, that can't be good for him either. :nono:
