Chevron/Texaco Official Prize Notificatio

Has anyone received an e-mail saying that they have won from Chevron/Texaco. The e-mail address that sent it is "[email protected]". I am pretty sure this is not for real. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten this.

Many of us get these everyday. With anything, you have to ask yourself:

Are there misspellings.

Are the letters all capitalized.

Does it mention you won a lottery or a large sum of money.

Does it originate from another country.

Is the tone desperate.

Most importantly, did you ever enter for what they're claiming you won and from the company they claim to be (which is usually misspelled too).

Then it's a scam.

I got this one too. Even I didn't fall for it, and I am pretty gullible. The email address was the biggest tip-off for me. What real sweep is going to have prize notification come from a yahoo account? Plus, like LIDARKSIDE said, I didn't enter anything for that prize from that company.

Scammers are the pits... I hope there is a special place in H E double hockey sticks for people like them.
