Just an FYI. Cardex, the supplier to many sweepstakes, specifically MillerCoors, has abruptly gone out of business. I only found out because I called the automated system to check the remaining balance (only a few $) of a $100 Mastercard I won from Miller Lite recently only to find the phone answered by a person who said 'I'm supposed to take your info. None of our issued cards work and we have to send out checks'
She said nothing about going out of business a week ago, just that there was a problem with Mastercards. I went to the Cardex website today...
"We regret to inform you that, after nearly 20 years in business, Card Express Inc. ceased operations on Sep 30, 2014. Pursuant to MasterCard rules please contact Sunrise Banks, N.A., 605-231-4597, regarding your MasterCard prepaid cards. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage your patience while the bank works through the arduous process of validating all claims. We wish to extent our sincerest gratitude for your support and loyalty over the past two decades. Thank you."
No warning. Doesn't affect me, I only had like $4 left on my card, but if you have a Cardex card, might as well start fighting with someone for your check now.
