Captcha

Yesterday I had some sweeps that would not work until I typed both captcha words into the box, and also today the same thing. Is anyone else having this problem ? I ask because I just installed the latest flash version and wondered if it is causing this or if they have caught on to our little trick and fixed it.

 johnsnook - I've stickied threads on CAPTCHAS in the Tech/Computer Help forum:

kcmoviebuff just posted about this:

Last year I posted about a shortcut for entering the company ReCaptcha's captchas - they're always 2 terms, and you only had to find the
wavy, italicized or otherwise distinguished term and enter that one, and you also could leave off the last character.

Well, today it changed - after further testing I found that you have to enter the entire term AND the first character of the second term. I do not know
if this is temporary or permanent but it's been true on every single sweepstake form where ReCaptcha appears that I filled out today.

Also, here's a tip: if the distinguished term appears second, you'll have to enter the entire first term as well, so keep refreshing until the distinguished term appears first, ensuring you only have to enter that and the first character of the second term (which is often numbers or garbage).

TY AMY, didn't know if that it was the new flash or not, so now I know that it isn't just me. I sure hope this isn't a permanent thing. Not fast at typing, so really slows me down. Will try the one letter thing.

johnsnook - boy, do I hear ya - I'm still a 2 finger, where the heck did the {key} go? It takes forever to type it out typist! :crazytongue:

Add in not being able to see tiny print, well, I saw this in the comments & saved it:

CAPTCHA too Small

tamrahjean posted: Try holding down the ctrl button and the pressing the + sign until the CAPTCHA is large enough to read. Afterwards hold down the ctrl button and press the - sign until the CAPTCHA is its original size.

YEA, AMY, I know about the + - thing. I took typing I and II so I could be close to the girls in high school, but all I know now, is jujjujjujjuj, that's all I remember, 2 fingers for me too! It did not get me anywhere with the girls, by the way. But, gave me more confidence to meet and marry my wife.

Try Control 0 for one stroke return to original screen size. On my Mac, with a Microsoft keyboard, it's actually the START button and the zero key.
