CAMEL win- problems

I won $50 e-code on camel sweepstakes the other day, finally yesterday morning the registration for it went through and it gave me the card #, expiration date, etc.

I have been unable to use it this afternoon both online and over the phone "card declined"

I waited the 24 hours..what gives?

anyone else having problems with this?

I won $25 on this Camel instant win site about three weeks ago. I have tried redeeming it about 30 (!!!) times without any luck. From the looks of the "comments" section on the site, it looks like there are HUNDREDS of people having the same problem, including some that have won $150. When I contacted the people who are handling the promo, they were really of no help and even had a rather rude attitude. The woman I spoke to said " I can send you some coupons". I received three $2 off a pack coupons. Oh yay and whoopie.

I find it amazing Camel has not stepped in to handle this mess. It is a real mess and Camel's apparent apathy makes me consider changing brands.
 
Don't use it for the full amount..Up2U takes off I think $1.16 on the $25 card when you go to use it..I can only get it to work for $23.Same applies for the $50...try $47 then go down to $46...I hope this helps!!
 
I believe it can only be used certain places. I won twice, $50 I used on amazon with no trouble and $25 I used to buy a sears gift card also with no trouble. Well, I had plenty of trouble with sears, but that had nothing to do with ordering the card, only with receiving it.
 
I talked to a CSR in Canada and found out that when your card is declined, to call them, and they will reset the amount. I tried to use my $50.00 card and it was declined. When I called, and no, when you email them at support, it ends up going through a different country all together. I have found that calling is better for me, I actually managed to get the same person twice, surprise. And she reset my amount so I could use the entire $50.00. She said it all depends, sometimes it is right, sometimes you have to play with it. Anyway, that is what I was told. I was told the amounts don't add up because the company is in Canada and there are issues with redeeming them. I have never had to reduce my amount that I was using to get it to be usable. I called and get them to correct it. Sometimes it can be a pain I know. But, works for me so far. Fingers crossed.

I had a similiar problem. They "reset" the winning code and provided me with another.

My wife was subsequently able to use the card on Amazon.com for the full amount. In fact, she's always been able to redeem the full amount at Amazon.com from prior cards we've won.
 
I had problems redeeming a Camel E-Cash Card a few months ago as well. I sent a email to Camel and told them they really need to look into who handles their Fulfillment prizes because they do a poor job at it.
Your not the only one who has had problems redeeming and using the E-Cash Cards either. Send Camel a email and maybe they will "CAN" whatever LOPS they are using now.
 
I tried to redeem my win. No luck. I've got the card numbers and everything....I emailed them. This has happened before. I know complaining will do no good. I emailed all the screenshots that I could. I got error screens when I tried. So frustrating I've spent at least 1 hour on this!!!
 
Had the same problem last year with a 25.00 ecode. It depends where you use it, you cannot go over the total of the card or it will not go through. I emailed them and they reset the card amount and then tried it on Walmart and only spent 23.00 and it went through.
