I have been entering camel sweepstakes hump day and am confused about the trivia questions and puzzle, etc. Is it necessary to complete those to be entered for the grand prize or is entering the daily / instant win sufficient?

Rules just say:
To enter the Grand Prize Drawing: For any (or all) Weekly Period(s), visit one of the Websites and click on the designated area for entry to receive (10) entries into the random drawing for a chance to win the Grand Prize (an "Entry"). Limit (10) Entries (i.e. one [1] activity) per person/PID per Weekly Period.
