Best free (or extremely cheap) email provider for use with Outlook

I currently use hotmail and gmail with outlook, but would like to change my email address. My hotmail address is easy to misread and I just don't trust gmail for some reason. I do not think that a new hotmail account could be used with outlook unless I bought the paid version. I do not want to use email through my internet provider since that is always subject to change.

So, my question is what the a good, reliable, low cost provider of email accounts that works with Outlook 2007?

I personally have a yahoo.com address and it is reliable as far as I know.
I do believe there is an email address available on this site too but I don't
use it.
