Best email for entering contests

I have been using Comcast for years, and was told recently that they might not be delivering mail they consider spam.

I was worried I may be missing winning confirmation emails if they consider it to be spam.

Is gmail the best for email address with regard to sweepstakes entry and reducing risk of missing winning confirmations?

Thank you

I have GMAIL for my sweeps email because I started with it many many years ago. I have always received my emails as far as I know, but in the beginning I did have to check that certain administrators were not spam, but it was fine after that. GMAIL is a simple easy to use email address.
The only thing that makes me want to use my outlook email which is tied to my Bing Rewards account is that I have my address in my account...I don't know, but sometimes
I have read rules of all sweeps and it says you may have to prove to be the account holder soooo I'd rather use something with my address than my GMAIL which I set up
like twenty years ago, but I highly doubt I'd have to prove to be the email account holder anyhow? Sometimes, when I go on my outlook email it won't load quickly when I
first go on the page.....Just my number one opinion is : as far as a SIMPLE easy to use email I'd go with GMAIL and the categories are easy to see too! If I could switch emails, which I cannot because I'm too wrapped up sweepstakes-wise in my "sweeps email" I would go with something like my name like my outlook, rather than the silly email address I use now. I don't think it matters, but if you don't get your messages YES YOU ARE RIGHT it does matter and defeats the purpose of even entering !!

One more question please...

When you have two adults in the home, can you enter each contest twice sharing the same internet provider/ip...but different email addresses?

Do you have to read each contest's rules and see one entry per household, or one per person...or will the contest recognize same ip, even though different names, and email?

I'd hate to think that entering for myself would be a dq if I also entered for my husband yet we are two adults so you would think each person has a chance to win?

I remember someone saying something about using different browsers for married couples wishing to enter from one household.

I worry because I enter so many contests and imagine I should be winning more (ha ha) and think I must be doing something to miss winning email confirmation, or might be disqualifying myself since I started entering for both of us.

I'll drop Comcast, use gmail, and enter for only myself if that is best. Any advice is great. Thanks again.

thank you! I will change the gmail from the name I created to my real name and use that from now on!

I think it was Marlboro sweepstakes that told me that Comcast won't deliver tobacco emails and I remembered that and thought, oh no, what else did they decide not to deliver...

fear...what did I miss?

Did I win and never get the email?

I think after entering daily for hours and not seeing the return I imagined...it made me wonder what is wrong. Yes, to think that all those entries could be with an email provider that might not deliver my winning emails because they think it could be spam is a reason to never take that chance.

perhh tip - I use LIMIT in FIND/Find in thie page to quickly see if they state per person {ok for both] or per household/per IP [1perhh only]

thank you! I'm not sure what you mean, with the find, but I will figure it out!

final question...it seems like more and more people use their real name for email now.

I thought it was always suggested to never use your real name.

Thoughts?

I read official rules constantly because I have to pass the sweeps on to other people and alll I just go by what the rules say In My Opinion like 1 per person per day your whole household can enter. And wording like one per household FOR SURE do not enter anyone but one. I hope that answers your ? :)

... We use the same IP and have been really very successful in wins almost all instant.
The only time when I thought the sweeps administrators looked thru email addresses was when it was a men's perfume company, They sent my male family member an email thanks for entering as one of the first people?? I was like, OK whaat I know I entered many hours before him so I cannot say it does not happen that they can't judge something, for instance lets say like entering all your family members in like 5 minutes. Yes, I think that could and should and might likely disqualify u in reality.

I do know Microsoft has good support because one time I couldn't get my bing account to work, so with outlook there might be more help with emails....

I think, not sure, if GMAIL won't work, UM ...you'd just have to create another email, I don't know how to get in touch with GMAIL personally since I have never had to!

I hope you haven't missed emails to since I bet you enter a lot of sweeps. I don't enter blogs hardly ever ( not enough time) * all I read are the subjects and senders line. If I have missed an email well, I don't know it thank goodness!

I do know Yahoo sends my mothers email to spam a lot! Every time I talk to her she says she found something in spam lol

I have always used my real name or my real name in some combo since 2004 as email addy, site user name, FB & Twitter, and have never had any issues.

The most important thing w/email addy is that you have an addy that you will *never* lose - it IS possible to change your addy for some sites, but IMHO, it's better to keep the one you will always have

thank you! I'm not sure what you mean, with the find, but I will figure it out!

I use the word LIMIT as my search term in either FIND {Firefox} and/or Find in the page {IE}

thank you! I'm not sure what you mean, with the find, but I will figure it out!
