Be careful with the new ad here on SA

I've been getting a new ad here on SA that may confuse a few people. The ad tells you that you need to update your flash player and if you click it it offers the "update" download. Considering most of us use Adobe flash player you assume the ad means Adobe needs updated. Just so you know the ad isn't referring to Adobe but is advertising a flash player/download manager from a company named ilivid. You can download and install it if you want but beware it's likely to become your new default player instead of Adobe flash.

Maybe I'm old school goodguy46947, but I NEVER click on a popup - I go straight to the horses mouth {Adobe} and check my version.

I think people are so used to gov't making things "safe" in real life, they forget the net is the wild wild west!!! :crazytongue:
