Bad luck or is the first year slow?

I started sweeping almost a year ago and haven't won anything. Is that normal?
Also I've seen SA members with gold silver and bronze memberships, how does that work?
 
Its been slow for alot of folks. you will win. just keep at it. the gold, silver and bronze is for post count. Not sure of what ya need for each though. hope ya win something soon
 
In general, it takes about six or so months to start to see wins. The main factor in winning depends on how many sweeps you are entering.
 
Hope you have a big win soon. Are you entering daily? How many are you entering? Try entering the one's with lots of prizes. Enter the instants, they are a great for immediate gratification.

Usually 5 or 6 months you will start seeing wins. Just enter as much as you possibly can at first. Then once you start winning, you can slow down if you want.
 
Hello. Keep with it and you will reap the rewards. stick with SA, before I joined I wasn't winning anything, since I joined here , I've won alot. At first, I didn't win anything either for almost a 1 1/2 years, then one day I won a boyds bear pin (and I collect boyds bears , so I absolutely thought it was better than Ovaltine!) then slowly the sweeps start showing up. And like I tell all newbies , definitely enter your local town and state sweeps, that cuts down on the number of entrants. check out radio stations, local newspapers, town criers. they all have awesome contests.

:sunny: The clue to winning is being patient, persistant and consistant. If you do these three thngs you will win. You can'texpect to win if you aren't being persistant about entering. If you are only entering sweeps that only have one or a few prizes and they have a high ARV, your changes go down alot more as many people will be entering them faithfully. Best of luck to you!

I'm so sorry to hear that!!! :cry: But Pam is correct:

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants!

IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize :laughing: - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!


Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!
 
I forgot to mention - there ARE things you might do that will ensure you WON'T win:

1st of all - the Rules - make sure you follow them!!!

If you have a PO Box, most sponsors will DQ you right off the bat - they'll say so in the rules.

If you enter too many times? Most sponsors will just toss the extra entries, BUT - if you attempt to enter with multiple emails? That can get you blacklisted!!! :nono: And who knows - sponsors/JA's might even share that type of info with each other!!!

Make sure you are correctly filling out the form(s) and get a confirmation - you'd be surprised at how many people don't check!!! :nono:

Some sweeps require more than 1 step to enter, so check and try to remember which ones they are for daily/weekly/monthly sweeps - the NOTES feature is a perfect place to put a reminder to yourself on those types!!!

As long as you enter correctly, don't try for more chances than allowed, and enter lots of sweeps with lots of prizes, you WILL win - so hang in there!!! :sunny:

Sadly, there is no accurate way to judge what is "normal" where sweeping is concerned!!!

I've entered unlimited 1x and won, and entered daily sweeps faithfully and didn't win - that Kraft IW where everyone was posting their $100 win? Nada!!! But I won from the Palm - What Would You Do With $10,000? Sweepstakes - a long running PITA with very few prizes!!! :crazytongue:

But, if you enter as much as allowed (daily/weekly/etc) and don't try for just the big ticket prizes, you'll hit :sunny:

As to the gold, silver and bronze memberships? That's just based on how much you post - so post and let us get to know you!!! :headbang:
