Autofill and sweepstakes entry services are two different things

With Autofill, you personally visit the sweep web site and use Autofill to complete the entry form and then you click submit.

A sweepstakes entry service is a third party to whom you pay a fee to enter you in multiple sweepstakes. You never personally visit the sweepstakes web site, and you're never exposed to any message from the Sponsor.

Sweepstakes are a form of advertising. Their purpose is to acquaint you with a company its products and/or services. That exposure is missing when you use an entry service. The Sponsor isn't getting the exposure that was expected when the company paid for the sweepstakes. Sponsors aren't conversant with the various Federal and State laws, so they hire a Promoter to create, promote and manage the sweepstakes. The Promoter inserts disqualification verbiage in the rules to prevent the use of entry services.

There are instances where the rules require the the entry form to be manually key boarded, but they are rare and you won't normally be disqualified for using an Autofill program, like Last Pass, Roboform, Dashlane or one of the Autofill programs that are now included with most Browsers.

terry17fins -AutoFill & form fillers are addressed in this stickied thread:

Roboform

It's a form filler, nothing more. Most sponsors get that and don't consider robo "automatic entry" - they are referring to "bots" or programs that enter FOR you.

lwaxana:

A "bot" is an automated program that can be used for manipulating numerous email addresses, often for purposes of fraud. Sometimes cheaters write scripts that enter contests multiple times using many different email addresses for one person. The existence of bots is one reason why so many sweepstakes sites use "Captcha" code (words, letters, or numbers that you have to type in), so that they can make it difficult for non-humans to enter.

However, some do say it is a macro, and therefore not allowed. Every person has to make the decision for themselves on whether or not to use Robo.
