If you got a winning email from Bluebird book club for a $100 Amazon card, everyone is getting the email. Not a funny joke.

Received an email this morning that I won the monthly $100 Amazon gift card for Bluebird Book Club. Thanks SA!
 
Yeah from I just read on facebook they sent out like 300 of those joke emails. I got one too. Such a mean thing to do to people.

They apparently sent winning emails to LOTS of people. I got one too. So far, they have not responded to the hundreds of outraged followers who are commenting on the giveaway post on their Facebook page.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is a sick April Fools prank. Everybody received the email.

This is what I wrote to the company: This is horrible! Your entire page and company should be closed down for fraud. You should be made to send gift cards to every person that received an email. I have been entering contests for years and I have never encountered anything like this before. If I receive a winning email, that means I was a winner and entitled to my prize. I am looking into filing a class action lawsuit against your company and contest and I urge everyone to follow suit. We cannot allow anyone to get away with something so disgusting. The admins of this company should hang their heads low in the dirt. You are all the lowest of scumbags.

Yep I just got the glitch email. Ha! I was so excited I broke my dry spell. Oh well, it happens. Good luck all, keep sweeping!! Seeing the Congrats you won is motivation enough to keep going!

You may have accidentally received an email from us regarding our March winner notification entitled "Congrats!!!!! You've Won......" today. Our server had a glitch this morning, and sent the email to all Bluebird Book Club subscribers, so please disregard that original email.



We are very sorry for the mixup - we hope you'll forgive us, and this bad April Fools' glitch. The real winner (id######[email protected]) has already been notified.

Which is it? Joke or glitch? Their FB post originally said joke but they edited it to say glitch. Probably because one is covered by their contest rules and the other isn't. Still a classless move by a classless company.
 
I’m So glad I searched this company on here. I have been emailing them for a week because I thought I was a winner. I know I entered this contest because I checked my past entries—everything looked legit. The email I received looked real with a link to comment on Facebook.
This is a horrible prank if that’s what it is! I can really use the $!
I never received anything else from the company—no apology email, nothing.
I agree with previous comments, this is mean and enters into the fraud category. I will never enter one of their “sweeps” again if they think this is funny.
Thanks for letting me know everything (I barely know how to work Facebook, so I never saw the comments).
 
I remember the "glitch" very well, thought of it a few days ago when I started seeing their new contest flying around.
