Hi Sweep Friends,

I applied for APM Internship and want it soooooo bad. There is a jobsite here in California that would be great for me to get dispatched to. I have to sit through a very scary interview with the hiring manager within the next week or so. The Internship starts June 16th. I have been soooo streesed out. I WANT WHAT IS MINE........... PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR THOUGHTS. This will be a life changing experience if I'm accepted... Love you guys... xo

Wishing you the best, and yes, interviewing is stressful. Do you have professional interviewing advice/practice/coaching?

Hi arrtup....I do not have any professional practicing lined up. I just want to be honest and sincere and about my qualifications for the position. I am currently attending the University of Phoenix to obtain my Bachelors in Management. I graduate in 2015. This will be the stepping stone I need to break into the field of Project Management. I am supppper nervous but super excited. I just need them to give me a chance and I will succeed. Thanks so much arrtup for responding.. xoxox

I like how you said you just want to be honest and sincere - be yourself! It may be a good idea to learn as much as you can about the jobsite, so you can show your interest in that particular position, and also you will be prepared ahead in case there are any questions you want to ask. Often, at the end of an interview, the applicant is given an opportunity to ask questions. I guess your Management program gives you this general type of advice.

I hope you can breathe deeply and be as relaxed as possible during your interview.

Just one more year until you graduate, that's wonderful! I did read your other thread about earning your degree and I am really happy for you. It is an investment - you work hard for it - and I know you will make it pay off, not just financially, but also being happy and challenged in your field.

Good luck, champ! xoxoxo!

Thank you arrtup.... This is my dream job, Project Management, I have wanted to be a Project Manager for as long as I can remember and in 2012 I made the decision to go back to school as an adult. I am doing it. Work in the day and School at night. Classes last until 10pm at night. Sometimes it's hard, but I want to succeed. Another thing arrtup. My daughter (only child) graduates in 2015 from High School. I cannot believe her and I will ACHIEVE a milestone together. Just typing this is making my eyes water. LIfe can be good, we just have to work at it and let it be. Thank you again for conversating with me. I am truly happy to have you guys here at SA. xoxox

Wow, a double-graduation to look forward to! I am sure you are a good role model for your daughter, seeing you work, take classes and put in late hours. (My mother did that with 6 kids!)

Let us know how the interview goes. I think Project Manager is a good choice for you because you seem to have leadership qualities and confidence. :)

Thank you arrtup... I will definitely keep you guys posted. Everyday I check my email to see when I meet with the hiring person. I got butterflies. Ha!!! xo

Pleaseee keep routing for me until you hear back from. I'll do my best to keep you guys in the loop. Like I said in previous updates, this will be huge for my family and I if I can land this internship w/the hopes of securing the position. More money and finally a CAREER for me. Yesssssssssssssss

"Pleaseee keep routing for me until you hear back from."

---I will, and I'm really hoping your gut feeling is right!

UPDATE: HR came down to the floor I am on and said they are going to call the hiring manager since he is not following through on his connection back to us via email. I think today is the day I find out if I've been accepted. I'm sooooo nervous still. I know he is very busy but the anticipation is KILLING ME. And, today is my husband's birthday. It would be sooo great to come home with GOOD news for him. He has been stressed out just as much as me about getting accepted. Please keep me in your thoughts today friends... xoxoxo

Good Luck to you! Keep us posted! :) :) :) :)

UPDATE: The hiring manager emailed me and said that he meant with the other company we are partnering with and they said the priority right now is to have senior managers and the supporting staff later. He said if i'm still available at that time, he will be in touch withme.

I'm pretty sad, but I understand. I have to. Right? :o(

But, I guess the door isn't exactly "shut", so I'm cool with that. I will keep the hope alive and continue on with my dream. Thanks Friends... xoxo
