Apparently I've been banned

I have been trying to enter the CocaCola.com contests for the last few days and can't enter any of the following - Coke Sweepstakes Zero Fall Football, Extend Your Summer, Which Wich, and Hispanic Heritage Sweeps. The Hispanic one gives me a message that says I'm not eligible, see the rules. The rest just don't let me enter, although my wife is able to enter them all. Sent a message to eprize about the Which Wich problem (it was the only one I knew about at the time) asking for help and have not gotten a reply yet. Has anyone else had an experience like this? If so, what did you do about it and how was it (or was it) resolved? Thanks.

I know that some sweeps that say the entry is one per person end up being one per HH if the same computer is used. My hubby and I run into this since we use the same computer. I guess they think all households have a computer for each family member ... and I know a lot of HH's do, ... we used to when we were younger and traveling for work but now it is just one per HH :crazytongue: .

I have been locked out of a couple sweeps a couple of times....I switched to another email and that corrected the problem on some of the occasions, i.e. once with the Champion Daily ongoing sweep...They never answered my email. But it seemed to be okay after they finished their quarter (?) and I started with a new email to be safe. I did not hear back from the companies after sending emails with problems a couple times. I have had no problems with Coca Cola.

Yeah, sometimes it reads the ip address and denies you because you entered on the same computer not the same email address.

I agree, but I don't understand why, if they are set up to go by IP addresses they even say it is one per person. They should just make it one per household ... cause it seems it is one per HH unless you can afford a computer for every family member that enters sweepstakes. (does each computer in a house hooked together by a router have the same IP address or does each computer get their own? I have never been clear on that.)

Ok. A little more info. Same computer - I only have one and an iPad. The rules don't mention "per household". The rules for all 4 are slightly different, but I do recall one of them saying something to the effect that a person could be disqualified from ALL sponsored contests. I found the problem before my wife tried the Which Wich game. Only had her try the game to see if she would get the same result to see if it was a sweeps problem. (She's not all that into sweeping - go figure - but then, she has less time. She won't even sign up for Facebook.) Anyway, to make a long story short, LOL, I never got a play out of the Which Wich game and the others (I did a search for CocaCola.com) I don't even recall trying to enter till I discovered the problem, which is when I found I couldn't enter ANY of them, but my wife can. Therefore, I think I got banned somehow. Just don't know why or how to get un-banned.

Guess you could try to call Coca Cola and speak to their media/internet/sweeps person. I have called companies and got results that way. I had to call Best Buy Reward zone about a sweeps registration not working, and they did get results for me. But, once, with another company-it did no good what so ever. They gave me the runaround. That was over somehow my birthday getting changed in the system and they showed my birthdate as something different and I could NOT get it changed for probably over a month....That was the (complex) Samsung Olympics Sweeps on FB.

I had the same problem with the hispanic heritage sweep. I used a different email address and it worked fine. My husband was able to enter with no problems. Must be a glitch. I don't have any problems with the others you mentioned tho.

All ours have the same IP, thru cox modem, with a router.

I forgot to mention - when we had just 1 comp and 3 sweepers, we'd clear temp files/cookies & reboot between sweeps sessions, and never had an issue that I recall.

Oh wait - I think it was COKE that banned a bunch of sweepers - their rules said pp, but they meant perhh. We didn't get DQ'ed, but I think *most* were un-DQ'ed after some time.

Now, we have a pc & a laptop, and they rarely sweep anymore - more into gaming :crazytongue:
