I've been contesting over 40 yrs ... i.e. mail in entries only .. and I am most disappointed in the money making contest that allow mail in entries but if you buy some of their merchandise you X 10 whatever you spend in entries ... They just about eliminates any odds of winning w/o purchase. Their should be a separate category for such money making opportunities. They are NOT free ...

Any time I see that purchases get extra entries, I pass on it no matter what the prize is. I want a fair and level playing field. I also pass on sweeps that feature swag (advertising) prizes. I don’t buy hats, shirts, etc. that are branded. I refuse to pay to advertise someone’s products. They should be paying me to wear their stuff. Just my take.
