another instagram win but .....

So I got a notification from diamondwize jewelry on instagram that I was a winner in their 100 hearts for valentines day giveaway. I messaged but havent received a reply back yet. The thing is that in the giveaway fine print its specified that winner has to pay shipping. not sure if this is normal for instagram giveaways or not. I looked at the comments from others who won and a lot of them said that their code they were given was faulty at first and then worked but that shipping was 7.95. I dont think I want to claim it because I dont want to use my bank card or credit cards.

They should pay for the shipping fee, these people they shouldn't do give away if they won't pay for the whole thing.

sweepsaddict1627 - I think there is a toy company that has been listed off & on thru the yrs here at SA/SP that openly states in their RULES/Entry form that their winner(s} DO pay for shipping

If there was NO mention of either the cost/or, who pays for shipping in their rules then yup - hard pass
HOWEVER - If the terms/RULES state that winner(s} pay for shipping then it IS legit/above board.

there is a comic book company (gives away toys, books, statues, etc) and they require that you pay S&H. Some of it is acceptable. I had won a book from these folks a few years ago and they did NOT ask me to pay S&H. However, I think that they worry about statues breaking, and even though we are used to "the usual" being we don't pay S&H - some companies ask for a little help in regards to the giveaway.
