I love anime!
Hayao Miyazaki films are seriously the best stuff out there. Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away get me every time. Grave of the Fireflies was so tragic, but I loved it as well.
My favorite series.... probably Fruits Basket, Petite Princess Yucie, Azumanga Daioh, School Rumble, The Slayers and Death Note!

Hayao Miyazaki is my favorite. I liked all the ones you mentioned, (Grave of the Fireflies is sad but well made)... plus others, like My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Arrietty, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso and Princess Mononoke. Last week, I watched From Up On Poppy Hill, which is not by Miyazaki himself, but his studio, Studio Ghibli. It is excellent.
I saw Slayers years ago, but will have to find out more about the others you mentioned. Did you watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya? It was popular a few years ago.

Ahh yes I am a huge fan of all his movies! They are just magic.
I've haven't had the chance to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya yet, although many of my friends have told me it's good.
