An interesting win story!

So, every so often I Google myself, I work and sweep online, so I feel like I should keep a handle on what's out there..
Anyway, I found a contest win post from a repin/Pinterest contest from JULY 2012 that I had won! Totally missed it and any win notification.

I emailed them on Facebook last month, back and forth a while, and today I got confirmation, getting a $100 check in the mail! (Original prize was $100 Amazon.)

This will give us some extra vacay cash this summer! So awesome they are still honoring it.

Moral of the story, Google yourself and see what's out there sometimes! LOL

Also won this/last week: $15 Visa GC from Make it your best year contest on Facebook, 2 movie tickets from Sunmaid, $5.99 Taco Cabana GC from Eprize/Sea World, and Trouble With the Curve DVD from American Profile.

I have such a common name too many other people come up. Do you use additional wording to narrow your search?

That is so true!!!!! You can put a google alert on yourself and get emails when your name is mentioned anywhere!!!! Great that they're honoring it!!!! Congrats!

I search my name, to check public records and stuff, usually you find a past city on the page that matches where you live if you have a common name, or current city, or you can even search your name and city, you'll likely see it in some white pages type of sites...

However, googling your name and "contest" works too - that's how I found that I was posted on the blog in this post! LOL
