Adware, Spyware etc.

Just a quick question when i'm done doing contests i run a spyware software, and a lot of spyware and adware comes up. there are no viruses. is there anyway to block them so i don't have to continually remove the same adware/spyware everyday. it makes my computer run a little slow. then when i remove them , it runs faster. it's a little time consuming. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks.

thumbelina - sounds like cookies you pick up while sweeping. ID them and do a search and maybe you can figure out which sweeps they came from.

A decent antivirus program will automatically block adware & spyware and will run a scan of your computer at least daily. As Amy said, it sounds like cookies. You can clear them yourself in seconds thru your browser. Click on tools, internet options and delete. Check (or uncheck) the boxes then click delete.
