.99 cent stores hardly have anything for .99 anymore

Well, you know, it will be the buck fifty store before to long!

hmmmmm ... here in Washington we have "Dollar Stores" (that their name) and everything is a dollar! Still!!! No exceptions! And the nice Korean ladies are always very helpful!

Everytime I go to the mainland my first stop is there. Love the places!

I love the Dollar Store! We buy all kinds of great stuff there. We keep a running list on our counter of things we need from the Dollar Store. Besides their usual array of items, I have gotten lots of name brand items that show up there for only a dollar. Although some items aren't even worth the dollar you paid for them, most are well worth it.
They also give you store credit if you buy something you don't like.

I love the stuff that Jay Leno has that was found at the 99 cent store. It always is funny!

Dollar Tree seems to have maintained the proud cheapo tradition, and a few of the independents as well. 99Only in the west has also (I think). Now that fuel prices have subsided, there's less excuse for the price rises (which I suspect are meant to be permanent).

Grr....

Our Dollar Tree store expanded this month, and it is so cool. Everything is a dollar in there, and it is about the size of a regular Walmart, except when you walk in the Dollar Tree, you can get a cart full and leave without getting a mortgage on your house like you have to if you get a cart full at mortgage. Not knocking Wally world, all the regular stores are that way. But the Dollar Tree is fun, they have wrapping paper, gift bags, dishes, glass and plastic, some small toys, finally a store I can take the kids and say, you can have one of anything you want in the store. they have every kind of decoration for your home, knic knacs, just so much cool stuff.

Dollar Tree would look pretty foolish hanging that sign, and another one under it: "A dollar and over." The chains are better at keeping up the tradition.
