The best way to stay safe is to stay vigilant and educated on what scams look like. For example, they gave you a number from Ft. Lauderdale, which does not match our company location. The owner's name was incorrect, and we are not running any promotion called '4318US'.
Scammers get more and more clever in trying to scam people. We often post videos and tips on how to stay safe when entering sweepstakes on the internet. But now scammers are reaching out by phone as well. Ignore, report, and block. If it feels like a scam, it almost definitely is. We have tried contacting the correct authority in the past to stop scammers, but it's impossible. Unfortunately, we can't prevent it.
This does not just apply to scammers trying to be us, but any scammers in general! Scam accounts that claim to be Nike, Walmart, Amazon, etc., may also attempt to contact you offering you big prizes in return for your address, phone number, social security, or credit card number.
