Received an automated phone call from Sweepstakes Advantage in St. Cloud, Florida that I had won 2nd Place in their sweepstake (4318US) and to contact Damon Fletcher at 954-280-1384. Tried the number and it rang until someone answered and then hung up. Is Sweepstake Advantage a SCAM!!!!!

if they don't answer i'd write it off whether or not a scam. we get so eager to win that it's hard not to get that prize when getting a wining notification. If they don't answer chalk it up to a big nothing. would think someone legit would answer or contact you some other way

We will never contact anyone via phone, social media, or text to notify winners of prizes. We are not owned by any Damon Fletcher. We're a family business owned by Ken Carlos aka @sweepsadv that was founded in 1997. Sweepstakes Plus is not a separate entity, it's also us.
The best way to stay safe is to stay vigilant and educated on what scams look like. For example, they gave you a number from Ft. Lauderdale, which does not match our company location. The owner's name was incorrect, and we are not running any promotion called '4318US'.
Scammers get more and more clever in trying to scam people. We often post videos and tips on how to stay safe when entering sweepstakes on the internet. But now scammers are reaching out by phone as well. Ignore, report, and block. If it feels like a scam, it almost definitely is. We have tried contacting the correct authority in the past to stop scammers, but it's impossible. Unfortunately, we can't prevent it.
This does not just apply to scammers trying to be us, but any scammers in general! Scam accounts that claim to be Nike, Walmart, Amazon, etc., may also attempt to contact you offering you big prizes in return for your address, phone number, social security, or credit card number. This is the unfortunate nature of the internet. Here is one of our YouTube videos detailing how to stay safe entering sweepstakes on social media:

Yarbsan, I am sorry you are having so much difficulty. However, there are tutorials all over the site. If you are wanting to see your account go the home page. Look up near the top of the page and you will see your name ad underneath it will say logout or account access. Click account access to see your account. You can also use the contact link there to contact the administrators of SA. BTW, I am NOT a moderator or a SA employee, but I was able to find this info within 15 seconds.
