The truck stop this is good for is not on my husbands runs so not worth paying the taxes on. Hope some wins that can use it. Bitter sweet. Hope the next one is something I can use. :)
 
I know how you feel! I had to turn down a trip to Vegas last year because I was ill. Keep sweeping and another GP will come your way! :cheers:

I still can't find a home for the $4,000 Merry Maids I won from HALLS - my mom said she'd buy it off me, but then she flaked, so I got stuck with the taxes and a card I won't use.

Worst of all? They gave other winners cash in lieu, but they wouldn't work with me on it. :cry:

I am *much* more selective in what I enter for now!!! :whistle:

Anyway, blume33 might have weighed the pro/cons, or they told her only *she* could redeem it perhaps? I wonder too.
 
Thanks everyone. The truck chain was a smaller one not flying J's or Pilot. We were afraid to get stuck with it and paying taxes on 25,000 on something you can't use is scary. Too risky for us. Progressive did tell me they have a new contest starting in March maybe that will bring good luck.

That is really too bad - with the high price of diesel it would have been a nice boost for your income in a tight economy. would have made it easier to bounce out of a bad area when the loads stink.
 
Holy moly, I give HUGE props to you because I don't know that I could turn something like that down!!!! I would totally be sick to my stomach!!!!! You couldn't sell it? Congrats on winning anyway!!!!! That's definetly a big prize!
 
OMG!!! Wanted to say congrats to Amy for the Merry Maids win too!!! WOW! I just went on strike with my husband b/c of the messes he keeps leaving, thats MY DREAM PRIZE!!!! LOL!!!!
