2 wins, but from where?

Just got 2 wins, both were surprizes.

1st one was from the Mountain Dew Transform Your summer Sweepstakes , recieved 5 dvds. The Italian Job, School Of Rock, Orange County, Tomb Raider, and Sahara. Yeah!

Second win, I don't remember where it was from and they didn't send an invoice or anything. :scratch: It was the second season of American Dad Dvd Set.

Just when I stopped filling out sweeps these came, very nice. Gives me incentive again. :headbang:

There are companies that push certain products such as DVDs and CD. Your win was part of one of these marketing pushes. The companies set up the sweepstakes packages and then go to sites offering them the prize package for the sweepstakes.

I checked and this prize was in dvdsnapshot, andPop, Horror View, EFilmCritic, DVDLaunch, and more. There are 24 expired and 1 current sweep with this prize.

Because of this system it is often almost impossible to figure where the prize came from unless the sponsor such as Hot Topic adds a special prize. The prize come from these Marketers so there is no way to know by the postal information where it came from usually.
