Hiding in my junk folder (I'm glad I check there daily) was a notification that I won a jacket and artwork from the 1800 Holiday 2018 Sweepstakes. There were 200 winners on that sweeps so I guess I'm saying...check your junk folder!

Congratulations to both of you. Sometimes people click the "spam" button in their email in box rather than unsubscribe.
I would never click the spam button unless it is absolutely a spammer who keeps emailing you even after you have
unsubscribed from their newsletter.

Yup - The spam button in email is NOT for legit companies - it's for spam/phishing emails.

IF you didn't request communication w/legit companies then *maybe* hit unsubscribe but NEVER the spam button

If you unsubscribe/report sponsors [or a sponsors marketing partners/advertisers/3d parties] newsletters as spam, some sponsors will not allow you to *ever* re-subscribe and therefore you will not be allowed to enter future promos by a sponsor & those marketing partners/advertisers/3d parties

Also - NEVER hit unsubscribe for spam/phishing emails - it just tells them your email addy is good & they'll invite ALL of their "friends" to spam you too

Congrats! My husband got the email too. I have dealt with this agency before and suspect they will be asking for a copy of driver's license.

I never listed the sender as spam, Outlook just automatically did it. I have no idea what the Outlook algorithm is for sorting "junk" mail but I get mail going to the wrong box all the time (both spam in inbox and legit mail in the junk inbox). I just make it a habit of checking both.

caseylach - I was just expanding on admin's [Ken Carlos the site owner/administrator] point as general info for all members - it was not directed at you

btw - it's always a general info for all members post if I don't include a user name in my post :p

I also won. I replied back but did not hear anything else. Did anyone else get a reply after you said you wanted to accept the prize?

They did ask for a copy of the driver's license. Is this suspect?[/QUOTE

Sorry, I didn't know you had already gotten a second reply. I just meant with alcohol sweeps this agency asks for a driver's license copy. Some agencies don't.
My husband is still waiting to hear back from his initial reply.
