I just received in the mail a small plastic baggie with a 1 carat Blue Topaz Oval worth $39 - small but nice - anyhow, the first 1,000 people who entered the sweepstakes would have won it, so look in your mail for an envelope from MySolitaireConcepts :cheers:

I got one today too. :)

I understand not wanting to spend the money for more secure shipping, but for a $39 item that they're sending 1000 of, a plastic baggie in a standard envelope probably wasn't the ideal shipping container.
 
No, it wasn't. I received mine today wasn't sure what it was but I noted a very small hole under the return address on the envelope. The envelope felt empty. When I opened the envelope, I found a small ziploc bag with a hole in it identical to the size of the hole in the envelope. I then searched for sweepstakes fro my solitaire concepts to figure out what was supposed to be in the bag. Then I saw the thing that had made small holes in the envelope and baggie was the blue topaz being removed from the bag. The good news is that I emailed the company not thinking they would be able to do anything just to make them aware and they said that they would send me out another one right away. So we will see but they didn't have to do anything so it makes me feel better that they said they would.
 
Thanks for posting. I got one too and since there wasn't anything identifying the sweepstakes I was wondering.
 
Mom2Twinz - sorry your first prize didn't reach you, but how nice that the sponsor was quick to replace the prize. Hopefully they'll ship it a bit more securely this time.
 
So happy to see so many members were able to get the topaz ring! What an odd way to mail them out.
 
I got one too, and I was really surprised it made it, mine had made holes through the baggie and the envelope and was sticking through the envelope through the plastic so it looked like a pretty raised sticker on the envelope. I was lucky a few more handlings and it would of fallen all the way through. It is a pretty stone. :sunny:
