I just wanted to share an experience I just had with a win. Sometimes when we win in a contest things happen and we never receive our prizes. I was just notified that the trip I won was indeed never mailed to me so they emailed me back saying there is no time to ship the prize now. This was a trip to Massachusetts for a football game and swag, tickets, and t-shirts. I get it things are overlooked and forgotten . Dont let it discourage you from doing sweeps. Its all part of playing ........easy come easy go . I tried to atleast have them mail me the tshirts but they cant I guess. So I thanked them for picking me as the original winner anyways and I went on my way. Its not going to stop me from trying again . There are thousands of other sweeps, right?

Wait mykidzrock01 - you did the affy and was confirmed as the winner but you never got your prize or ANY prize?

I would make dang sure they do [did] not tell the IRS you got it or you will have to pay the taxes on their ARV

No I never got anything and the football game for University of Massachusetts is next week. Not a word from them till today. IM disappointed but it happens . I won this back in February!

I won a trip and got a call that I was selected as a winner and they could not honor the prize, AND they did offer to send me the money instead.

If the money for the prize was paid by the sponsor and you were the selected winner....you should get the money if they cannot honor the prize unless it states in the official rules that they would not be obligated.

Do you have a copy of the sweeps and official rules?

I would ask them to honor the prize with a cash option.

Who is the sponsor? Do you have anything is writing?

Is it a prize fulfillment company that contacted you?

Companies pay to hold these sweeps and it sounds like the fulfillment dropped the ball....

Honestly, this is THEIR mess up and they should have the common sense and common courtesy to fix it... not tell you, "Oh' too bad - we can't do anything" That is nonsense because they can - they had no problem collecting your personal information (which they probably sold to other parties). Sorry for my ranting, but this really is false advertising. (But I'm glad you're really positive about it... I just don't like to see ppl get poo'd on).

Without knowing all the details, my thoughts are to press the sponsor unless they are one in the same.

Again, are you dealing with a prize fulfillment company or the sponsor?

Sounds sketchy to me.
 
you could file a complaint with the attorney general of whatever state the promotion was from, and they can take action on your behalf i believe. Good Luck with it tho.
