Would upgrading my membership offer more sweepstakes or contests to win significant cash? Any advice you could share for cash prizes?

I am new at this and have only entered a few contests so far. Is everyone who wins something big an upgraded full member? Not interested in small prizes of things that I would not use. If you pay $60. then you need to win that much in prizes to break even.
