That's not true. Before I was a plus member I entered and won lots of things big and small. And yes, there are advantages to being a plus member and I will renew my membership this month because it is worth it to me.

Yes. I won a prize in May 2021. I received an email in November 2021 that there was some supply chain issue and I would be receiving it in a month. I have yet to receive anything.
