GMA - Story on sweepers - NOW!!! N/m - OFF TOPIC thread

My husband is eight years younger than me. I tell him that that's exactly what we were like and what we were doing like in "Dazed and Confused"--back in the days of keg parties in the woods! Now, they just drink in front of your house! :cussing:

We bought all the seasons of "Grounded for Life" on dvd, so we can watch them to our hearts content. My husband really relates to that show. Sister Helen was the equivalent of Sister "Beethead" in his school, and he knows shady people like Eddie. He is also amused by the mullet!!

Bob is 3 1/2 years younger than me - I'll be 47 next month.

We watched Grindhouse last night (Planet Terror) and Bob, the ultimate "B" movie watcher, didn't get it! I told him he must not have gone to the movies back in the 70's like I did - and that this was the ULTIMATE "B" movie!!!

I have yet to watch Deathproof, but since Quentin Tarantino did it, I know Ill adore it - he rocks!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Kill Bill 1 & 2 - I can watch them over & over!!!

Have you ever watched ICONOCLASTS? It's on Sundance. I watched the one with Quentin Tarantino & Fiona Apple. He's just a big man on the outside/little boy on the inside - but smart as a whip!!!

Oh darn - time for bed!!! :sleepy: To be continued?

Bed?

Remember - you chastised me in the Comments for being up too early?

I'm backwards - Bob is on days so I sleep during the day so he can have the bed at night. I snore, talk in my sleep, and rock, and he chases rabbits (restless leg) so we can't sleep in the same bed anymore. I really miss it.

Same here! Frank has apnea and keeps knocking off the air mask(?) while he sleeps. His snoring is the loudest you can imagine not to mention some of the other noises!! So, I put something on on tv and sleep on the couch. I'm so used to falling asleep watching tv, I don't think I can do without it anymore!

Hubby & I sleep in separate bedrooms. He has apnea & snores really bad, plus he gets up at 4:30am to go to work. I'm a light sleeper & he wants me to get my sleep since I have MS. He's soooo considerate! I miss sleeping with him sometimes (and then I come to my senses a second later). I've heard that newer houses they're building have 2 master bedrooms because more & more couples are sleeping in separate bedrooms. I thought my dad was gonna flip when he heard we slept in separate bedrooms. People seem to think it's terrible. Go figure!

60% of married couples sleep separately, because they can't get any sleep sleeping together. Constant moving around of the spouse is the No. 1 reason given for not being able to get any sleep.

Re: GMA - Story on sweepers - NOW!!!

I'm moving us to Chat about anything since we got so off track

I don't understand why you said we got off track!

We've just had 4 or 5 different topics in this post!

Re: GMA - Story on sweepers - NOW!!!

I hear ya!!! I have been catching up on Boston Legal (I adore James Spader) anyway, I just watched one where a client tried to sue the firm for not being "green" enough. We can't keep our drugs/food supply safe, nobody can agree from 1 decade to the next what is good for you/bad for you (remember how evil eggs where, and alcohol???) and now they want to brainwash us into believing if we don't do what "they" say is good, we must be bad??? :nono:

I read the paper every day. I only watch the news in cycles - I usually last 2 or 3 days. :crazytongue:

 Do you recycle the paper when you are done? If not, I am going to sue you and you know I can do it!

Re: GMA - Story on sweepers - NOW!!!

I'll be sure to submit myself to a whipping!

Oh, it wasn't you - I'm the one who went off topic!!!

I'm just enjoying an intelligent conversation!!! :headbang:

Magenta, Is that you? :crazytongue:

Now you see why I have to create so many personalities. The conversations are intelligent and I never get bored!

Now, I didn't say it was me! I just said I wanted to be subjected to a whipping!!

Here and there we deviate a little--Law & Order, King of Queens, Raymond; but we watch "Grounded for Life" every night religiously. There's something about shows and movies that you can totally relate to from back in the day. Like "Dazed and Confused"! :crazytongue:

My husband thinks the King of Queens was written about us. He swears someone was spying on us during our whole marriage. Sometimes I have to wonder if he might be right.

My hubby & I joke that Everybody loves Raymond hits too close to home sometimes (LOL). Marie reminds me of my mom & her overbearing attitude! :booty" I'd have to shoot myself if they lived across the street! (having written this I'll find out that she's actually a member of the forum and just read that! Someone else must have my password - I'm sure I didn't write this!)

Of course she does! She rips it in strips and raps it around an empty toilet paper tube to use in the bathroom! :crazytongue: You better watch it Wolfie, next "The Man" is going to take away your Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways and replace it with delicious carob; and it's delicious, because they say it's so! :cussing:

I dare him! That would be the biggest mistake he could ever make! :headbang:

I like that toilet paper idea. Maybe I will try it the next time the inlaws invite themselves to dinner!

I don't have to worry about my mother-in-law being a member here. She doesn't even know how to turn on the computer! :sunny:

Well, she is considerably overbearing. She once told me I didn't do something the right way for her son. :nono: I told her she could have him back if she was that worried! :headbang: For the one and only time since I have known her, she was silent!

LMAO, I don't know where to start!!! :crazytongue:

I didn't get enough sleep - guess I woke myself by moving the bed!!!

I use newspaper for windows/mirrors - streak free shne, better thatn paper towels!!! Just avoid the Sunday comics because it's in color

Never thought of using old newspaper as tp, but it WOULD be fitting, considering some of the "stories" they print!!!

I just went shopping (part of why I went to bed so early - all tuckered out) but I forgot a few things, so I have to go back out soon. It's my night out too, so it works out.

When Bob & I were dating, we were stationed in Bermuda. He used to come to my room and we'd somehow fit on my tiny twin bed - I'd usually be draped all over him. My roommate somehow had a queen size bed, and lucky for her, I needed very little room, so it worked out.

We were on the 1st floor, so I never saw her boyfriend - he'd enter through the window!!!

That 70's show is the one we both relate to. My MIL is a doll, even though she does try to guilt me on occasion  But I grew up with a master manipulator (my dad) so she only amuses me when she trys it.
