Performace Problems

Some of you may be encountering performance problems with SA. We are looking into the problem and there will probably be a database
upgrade on the horizon. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Tomorrow morning very early we will be migrating to a new database server. During that time there may be interruptions. We apologize for the inconvenience in advance.
 
Starting the Backup and Restores now. During this time there may be some inconsistencies in MySweepstakes and SweepsCheck.
 
There seems to be a problem with only today's expiring sweepstakes that we are working to fix.

The expiring sweepstakes page for Plus and SA have been fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience. The sites have become very complex and it's hard to test for everything
with all the features that we offer. As a result we are on a better database server which will result in better uptime and performance.

why are the times for saving your sweeps like 3-4 hours ahead of the time you do it. I enter at 7am and the sweeps check saving time shows 11 am. What is up with that. that throws off your re-entrys.
 
Looks like the new database server has a time that is 4 hours ahead instead of central time. So sweepscheck is 4 hours ahead right now. We are going to code this fix and hopefully have it ready in a couple days. We'll actually try to code to everyone's own local time or system time.

the only problem I am having is with the time I entered sweeps. it used to show central time but now I don't know what time zone it is using.
 
I read in today's SA newsletter that the site migration is complete, but there is a bug Ken is still working to fix - entry time - which you noticed is not accurate.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Must be lots of work!
 
This is taking a little longer than expected because we are trying to code so that it works in everyone's local time rather than all in Central. This code also touches almost every page on the site. We'll let you know when it is completed.

umm its still not fixed!!!! as i emailed you guys and you emailed me to this forum as of yesterday 1040 pm it was not fixed!

I'm always having to convert sweeps for PST, since I'm in the West & most sweeps are on an EST clock, so knowing this {sweepscheck is 4 hours ahead right now} is easy to track - just go back 4 hrs for the correct time, got it!
 
I've been having problems with the New Sweepstakes link. I always get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. I've tried clearing cookies, etc and have even tried 2 different browsers with the same results.
 
This page is definitely running or else this forum would be jammed packed with complaints about this. Sounds like you are stuck to a downed server or your ISP is caching content. I would completely clear your cache while "NOT ON SA PAGES" . Navigate to yahoo.com or something and then clear your cache. If that does not work I would call your ISP.

I'm getting ads on 'Plus' also when going to my sweeps daily, it skips page 1 and starts off on page 2.
