Crossing over to the dark side....

I am NOT posting a win today, just wanted to vent about all of these blog contests for Ipad's that have ENDLESS rafflecopter tasks that take hours to complete. (You know the ones!!) Up until this weekend, I have refused to do these contests. Something snapped in me this weekend though, and I caved....crossing over to the Dark Side of entering contests. Why do I feel like I just sold my soul to the devil???? One contest alone took me over an hour to complete all the required tasks, (liking hundreds of facebook pages, blogs, Google, and Pinterest pages). I have been sweeping for a year and a half, with moderate success and some nice wins, but until I win that Ipad, I guess my time will be spent filling out and completing these endless rafflecopters tasks. Please tell me I am not alone, or crazy!!!
Good Luck to Us All!!!!

You are NOT alone! Haha....these blogs things can really, REALLY be a pain. I have entered some, but it does feel like selling out a little when I have to like hundreds and hundreds of blogs and people on twitter I neither care about nor will I care about. Some of the prizes are good, so I find myself doing them a few days a week. Sometimes, I'll have enough and walk away from them. As I said, you are NOT alone in this. :)

Ha!! I knew it, thanks slyfox....really felt like I had crossed the "obsessive, compulsive" line this weekend. Glad to hear I am not alone! :)

Facebook only allows 5,000 likes, I guess, and I hit that maximum from these sweeps. I had to stop

@sweetloaf21 Same happened to me with me reaching the 5,000 likes, and I had thought about stopping too but I didn't want to stop
and so I went to my likes on Facebook and removed every single like .. It took me a couple hours to do it but once I was finished doing it,I went back and liked any current sweepstakes I was participating in up until now .

@Slyfox33 definitely agree with you and I wish that it existed on Facebook but since it don't I can tell you a fast way of unliking almost everything on there ,and it is something what I did to Unlike alot of pages on there, and i'll tell you it as well as everyone ,and hopefully it'll help you's all out . Here's what to do :
1.Go to your Facebook page
2.Once there Click on your "Likes" page .
3.Once you did that look on the right of the "Likes" page and you'll see the edit button
4.When you see the edit button, click on it,and scroll down to the bottom of it until you see a link that says
"Other Pages you like"
5.When you see that link , Click on it,and it'll be a faster way to Unlike pages on there.

I definitely hope that this helps you and everyone out ,Because it sure has helped me
out a ton,and I found found out
about it one day when I was searching google, and I didn't know if it would work for me or not,
and so I tried it out and it worked perfectly for me.

I don't do blogs, so I'm not sure how they do things, but I know with certain sweeps, you have to be actively receiving their newsletter to win, so it's possible they *might* require an active like.

I feel your pain....but the truth is, they get easier to do every time you do one, so it doesn't seem so "dark" after a while. :) Problem is, I don't find them "easy" to win either....although they may be easier than say a magazine typed sweeps. GL! I have been doing them for a year and only won ONE!

I have heard blogs are easier to win, but I tried a time or two to enter and just gave up after being asked to do so many things. I guess I'm too lazy. I have won an ipad and a kindle--both through instant wins. I seem to do better with instants and one-entrys, so I guess I will stick with those. I have to admit, I have been enticed by the dark side lately when I see blog contests with really nice prizes though...:)

Well, I will add...I am particular about the blog contests I enter. I usually don't enter for "smaller" items. So, maybe that is why I have only won one. The higher the value, the more that enter, I am sure.

Try a Facebook app called "Unlike it". Very quick way to delete likes, and you can view them in order of date, number of likes, and several other ways. Works for me.
